The long tail keywords on Christmas day

This entry was posted on Saturday, December 29th, 2007.

If you want to get more traffic to you blog, you have to know the Long Tail Keywords. The phrase was first coined by Chris Anderson in October 2004, and it is an important part of SEO for bloggers or websites.

I believe "The more long tail keywords in your blog, the more traffic drive to your blog from Google and Yahoo". Do you agree with me?

Slip of the pen is the most common types of long tail keywords. For example, "chritmas songs", you will find there is 233,000 results in google, but there are a lot of requests in google trends.

I found 1067 keywords about "Christmas", and there 344 phrases are long tail keywords. I analyzed the phrases, some of which are posted here:

1. Slip of the pen:

2. More badly slip of the pen:

3. Unusual phrases:

  • christmas ecards - 559,000 results
  • christmas wrapping - 742,000 results
  • christmas carols - 3,970,000 results (may be not belong to the long tail keywords)
  • christmas ecard - 343,000 results
  • christmas ppt - 388,000 results

What's the next keywords recently? To forecast certainly and rationally that must be given you a lot of traffic.
