Review of OLYMPUS u760

This entry was posted on Thursday, November 29th, 2007.

FUJIFILM S9600 is too big to put in my pockets, so I though I need a ligher, smaller DC, OLYMPUS is a good brand, and u760 looks beautiful, so I bought it serval months ago. It is beautiful, and have some express functions, for example, waterproof, shockproof, and so on.

The act of operating u760 is easy, my mummy likes it, and use it often, and I bring it when I go to my friends' home. The problems are found day by day. The metal shell of the u760 is afraid to rubbing, the photos are not clearly, and the time of writing is too slow, and so on.

And the more serious problem, sometimes, to fail to function.

The memory card in u760 fails often, so I have to power off it, and take the card out, and put it in again, I think because the socket of u760 is bigger than the memory card, so the card moves in the socket sometimes.

I cannot sure the problem with that is whether the memory card or the socket, I am angry at about it happens anyway.

My first digital camera was an Olympus. It took, as well as it still does take, GREAT pictures — but it wasn’t durable. It just felt cheap, and I’d often have to do things like you are doing — turn the camera off, take out the memory card, put it back in, etc.

A few years later, I switched to a small Canon digital camera — this thing is the best. It’s small, takes GREAT pictures, and the batter lasts forever. I don’t think I’ll ever move on from it until it breaks. A few months ago, I bought a Canon DSLR for more serious photography. I LOVE IT! But it was expensive. It takes great pictures and has a ton of flexibility.
