Beijing winter in December

This entry was posted on Sunday, December 2nd, 2007.

November is over and December set in, it is the middle of winter now. I like this season in many reasons, it is cold outside and sometimes snow, but warm indoors with radiators.

The day-time becomes less from day to day, the sky getting dark in 17:00PM, and day break at 8:00AM. In the night, the temperature fall to zero degrees, the river is frozen. But now they were too thin and weak, 20 or more days later, the brook frozen solid, the kids will skating on it.

Vegetables are rare and dear, pork, beef, mutton, and chicken are relatively cheaply. In the autumn, people used to pickling and curing the vegetables into pickles for them to eat during the winter.

In fact, winter is the best season for exercise body, so, there are many old men and old women exercising in the parks, they jog or shadowboxing in the morning. When the morning exercise finish, they will have the breakfast at the curb…

Bla bla bla…

In a word, I like winter, the nights are longer in winter, long time sleep for me :D

Being there in October was cool enough for me, although there were some beautiful sunny days - our hosts said we were the good weather mascots!
